THE GREATEST EXPERIENCE
On Thursday morning, my university especially English Department looked so busy, because my department had great event. That event called ACCREDITATION. This event was very important for our department because this event had purpose to assess our department which could increase our quality and our selling point. Our lectures looked so busy to prepare anything. They looked so tired because they should work until midnight. Beside that I and my friends had duty to prepare display room and we should learn all about our university. We also felt so tired but we realized if our participation and our support were very important and we also realized if this event was very important for our future.
In the first time assessor team assess all about our university in multimedia room with our lectures. This step needed time probably 7 hours. And the second time assessor team assesses our display room. When they came, I and my friends felt so nervous. But my nervous felt different because especially for I had duty to answer questions from assessor team. I felt afraid if my answered wrong and I felt afraid if my answer made our mark decrease. After they looked my display room, they came back to multimedia room to do interview again. After they leaved display room we felt happy because we thought our duty had finished.
Suddenly when we had took a rest our lectures called I and my other 5 friends. My lectures said if we should represent UTM students to had interview with assessor team. We felt so nervous again because it was our first experience. But we should calm down, because we realized if we felt nervous it could make our answer not work well, and we couldn’t support our department with totally. We entered the room, the room felt so cool beside that room used AC we also felt nervous, because it was big event, and our answer could change our destiny. Assessor team started to give us much questions, and we also started to answer that questions. Finally that interview finished, and we felt so happy because I and my friends could answer questions with well. And we wish we could help our department to get good mark, and our accreditation could change to be “A”.
For me it became a greatest experience, because I never had this condition. I should represent UTM students to change our destiny. And I must support our University to be better. After we finished our duty we wishes my English Department could get “A”, so our quality and our selling point could increase, and UTM especially English Department could be a good Department in Magelang. If we became a good university so we could be the first choose for Magelang society.
